How Do Concierge Aging Clients Transform a Geriatric Care Manager’s Bottom Line?

March 7, 2020

Adding concierge customer’s services to your geriatric care management agency transforms your agency into a profitable service.

Why- a geriatric care manager is a powerful health care concierge, just like the

new concierge medical services.

This is a highly effective selling point to potential GCM  clients who are in the top 10% income brackets.

These clients who can afford long-term care geriatric care management and the most costly long term expense, private duty home care.

Why is offering concierge services a great idea? A geriatric care manager is a highly skilled geriatric health care professional who acts as a personal GPS to the aging. family.

GCM’s and ALCA members offer ultra-personalized aging parent care.

Concierge clients can reach you 24/7

You build a deep relationship with the client and family.stock-photo-16832488-tense-couple-in-therapy-session.jpg

Practicing as a GPS through elder care, the GCM helps them step by step through one of the hardest journeys of their life.

A geriatric care manager’s highly personalized service meets all the needs of the aging family and the client.

GCM’s are like a concierge at a 5-star hotel there to serve the family by solving their health care and caregiving stress problems while making elder care more seamless.

Although we may wish to serve all clients, as Medicare does not cover long term care services like home care and care management, and income inequity deeply affects seniors in the US, we can only hope that this nation’s health care policy changes in the next administration.

But here is a deal-breaker

What most care managers did not know they must have-   marketing and sales skills to do an intake and get the client in your services.

What is the base income of the elderly in the top 10%? What is the anticipated hourly fee for being a concierge to this community?

You can find the methodology behind this data in the net worth by age calculator.
You must take into consideration that seniors in the top 10% receives income from investments and other assets, pensions and other retirement plans, earnings from work
The way you want to find out about who are the top 10% the area you serve is by a zip code map on income color coded by income. You can tell when top 10% live and compare to other areas if you are just starting. ere is a great visualization of where in the US you find wealthy seniors http://www.energyjustice.net/justice/index.php?gsLayer=income

Changing by the hour should remain the same as far as I am concerned. I would make a my fee based on hourly charge in your area or region. Two coast and south can charge more perhour and midwest less. To find that you need to do a competition survey.
