4 Steps to Create a Webinar to Market your Aging Business During COVID

January 24, 2021

H

What Do you do to create a webinar that gets lots of sign-ups and sales?

Webinars are excellent Public Relations using virtual presentations that reach a really large audience to promote your agency during the pandemic. Creating a webinar during COVID is a critical marketing tool to show your excellent safety precautions, what local health department rules and supports you are following, what services you offer during the pandemic. ll of this is to show new or present users of your service why they can use your GCM services

What is the First Step to overwhelming Sign -Ups

The first step is to subscribe to a HIPPA compliant webinar platform. Besides ZOOM there are 9 others that are less expensive or have way more customers support. Go to Webinar has terrific customer support to help you. There are 12 other platforms all less expensive than ZOOM that are Hippa Compliant including Doxy and Thera-link

Nothing ELSE Matters Unless You Have The Right List of Recipients !

The second step is to create an email marketing database to invite your target audience to the webinars. Nothing else matters unless you have the right list of recipients.  You can use this for your e-newsletter. This is cheaper than mailing costs and also the most direct way to reach people both clients and target markets during the pandemic. You want to invite your present clients all your marketing third parties you want to refer clients to you, senior services in your community. the health department, local physicians, etc.

Create a Brilliant Title for Your Webinar

The third step is to pick a title for a webinar. Effective titles that bring sign-ups like this one 4 steps to market your aging business. Everyone likes a good list.  “10 Ways to Leverage Social Media to Boost Sales “is another great title because it is a list of specific and intuitive to teaching someone something. A “how-to” form indicates that there are some pieces of advice, guides, or tutorials awaiting viewers of the webinar. ” How to Set Up a Great Webinar ” is an example. There’s a pinky swear of added value behind “sign up”, which is why such webinar titles may turn out to be extremely successful. Use ” spicy adjectives that are  words that evoke strong emotions. So, use words like “amazing”, “fantastic”, “brilliant”

How to Create a Fantastic Description that Gets Tons of  webinar sign-ups

The fourth step is to schedule your webinar on the webinar platform you chose. Add your great title, DESCRIPTION, PANELIST, BRANDING INFO, COPY INVITATION URL, SET UP EMAILS (confirmation, reminder (3), and follow up). A great description of what gets sign-ups as well as your title. It is short summary of what you are going to cover in the webinar. Some email platforms like Zoom have this built-in. Others like Constant Contact require that you subscribe to a separate landing page like Lead Pages .

Your webinar platform will be explaining what to add to your webinar but how a great Logo to upload for your brand and branded colors.

HOW TO MARKET YOUR TELEHEALTH SERVICE With An E- NEWSLETTER

September 23, 2020

How do you market a COVID-19 telehealth service?

The best way during the pandemic that rages this fall is to sell your coronavirus coaching products or other services is  in an email marketing marketing campaign using an e-newsletter format in Constant Contact  or Survey Monkey  other choices

This will boost the clients you can serve, as COVID has made adult children and elderly clients hesitant about having visitors come to their homes, exposing them to the virus. You can do the intake via telehealth and continue the services if they decide to become a client if you have taken the CDC safety precautions for visiting and or rendering care to the older person

Other Ideas to Add to your e-newsletter about COVID

  • Local information about home food delivery from local grocery stores used by                   seniors or designated shoppers as elders should not even get out and shop
  • Since large gatherings are dangerous in COVID-19-, information about accessing religious services streamed broadcast of TV or radio with the holiday season on Jewish New Year beginning the season last week – and stretching to Christmas.

Include Videos in your e-newsletter like this terrific e-newsletter that Lifespan, a care management agency in Santa Cruz, Ca. uses introducing their staff products and services during COVID.

OFFER Quality of Life activities that your agency or another agency like Well-Being offered by Lifespan which  provides 1-1-activies done with all COVID safety pecautions for seniors who are even more isolated, lonely, and depressed during the pandemic.

  • Recommend A COVID-19Home From the Hospital or Move Management product/service if you have one, to help families deal with discharge from hospitals after COVID -19 and not end up back in the hospital and or can move to a safer place to recover like their long-distance relative.
  • Tell a story with the COVID products you want to advertise
  • Use your i phone to record your video

  • Include a list of great reasons that a client or customer should work with an ALCA or Geriatric Care Manager during the Coronavirus pandemic. ALCA members get this in a flyer “Why Work With An ALCA Member During A Crisis “.The Aging Life Care Association has huge resources for dealing with coronavirus impact on geriatric care management. This makes joining ALCA now a great idea in this lethal pandemic and its deadly effect.

Trump’s COVID Mixed Messages Push-Up-Deaths So No CLear Path for AGING Families

September 6, 2020

The World Health Chief warned that in a Pandemic mixed messages coming from national leaders give their people no clear path to follow to keep themselves safe from COVID. This is esspecially true of aging family members who are trying to protect the most vulnerable to coronavirus-  older people.

In US Federal Government and US Scientist Point to two Different to paths to” Safety”

In the US Federal officials, like the TRUMP administration offers a murky path to stay safe -while top scientists like the CDC and Dr. Fauci offer science-based recommendations. It is like a signpost is a tsunami zone with two different directions to higher ground. State governors who have been left in charge of protecting American citizens, rather than the federal governments and all have different messages. Some states are closed down, while others do not allow masks in spite of the massive spread of the virus. People do not know what to do, as the Feds, the states, the counties, and cities all have different guidelines and laws about how to stay protected from the worst pandemic since 1918.

President Woodrow Wilson Pointed the Wrong Direction is 1918 Pandemic

It is not new. President Wilson lied to the American public about the 1918 pandemic as he had declared war with Germany and wanted the US war machine to go full throttle. So soldiers in camps in the US died by the thousands and sailed to Europe spreading the 1918 plague, while Wilson never uttered a word, except to say it was like the common cold. He contracted COVID in France, trying to negotiate the Treaty of Versailles, subsequently had a stroke kept secret,(stroke being a side effect of COVID we now know ) and his wife effectively ran the county.

Science is being Maligned and Sidelined in COVID-19

What happens these when confusing messages are given by so many leaders who are not scientists but politicians with their own agenda? Scientists like Dr. Fauci are both maligned and sidelined. .The CDC once the most prestigious health agency in the world is forced to give false scientific information by the TRUMP administration.

One terrifying result is COVID cases are soaring in the US As of  September 3, we had 6.1 M cases and 189 K deaths.  Younger people and even older residents are celebrating summer and now Labor Day with no masks no social distancing as if there was no COVID. We now celebrate Labor day with people gathering with no masks, college opening with the spread of the virus, and children used as guinea pigs in some states mandated to return the schools that have no federal money to make their classrooms safe

Aging families, who want to keep their loved ones safe need aging professionals to offer clear paths to safety. Can you be that navigator to safety?

Use HIPAA Compliant Telehealth to Coach Families on COVID

August 22, 2020

Why must Telehealth Be Hippa Compliant?

The HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 is United States legislation that provides data privacy and security provisions for safeguarding medical information. It is designed to reduce healthcare fraud and abuse by setting industry-wide standards for health care information on electronically shared information. When care managers are giving and receiving health care information through telehealth,  that is protected under HIPAA. Plus, importantly,  want to assure your clients that you are never sharing their private health care information, just like most people protect themselves from spam by not allowing cookies.

Geriatric care managers can really benefit from telehealth during COVID-19 and after. If your agency does my employ, essential workers, you cannot see clients in person. But they must choose a product that is HIPAA compliant.

Telehealth Protects Your Caregivers and Clients

Even if your employees, nurses, and social worker, geriatric care managers, are essential workers they may be reluctant to expose themselves to COVID-19 risk. Many times your clients do not feel safe seeing your care managers. If you have clients in skilled nursing or assisted living you may be prohibited from seeing any clients at all- So how do you see your clients- through telehealth.

What is telehealth in geriatric care management

What is Telehealth? Telehealth refers to the exchange of medical information from one site to another through electronic communication to improve a patient’s health . Telehealth is the use of digital information and communication technologies, such as computers and mobile devices, to access health care services remotely and manage your health care. These may be technologies you use from home or that your doctor or in this case care manager uses to improve or support health care services.Geriatric care managers can see an older client in their residence and talk to the family caregiver or private caregiver without the care manager traveling to the home, especially during the pandemic when the care manager, client, and care provider may be exposed to the virus during the visit.

How Do Geriatric Social Workers, Nurses Use Telehealth?

Geriatric Social Workers use Telehealth to assist patients and families navigating healthcare and welfare decisions in these confusing and critical moments; they also coordinate or provide therapeutic services to the affected and their loved ones. Telehealth nursing is a tool for delivering nursing care remotely to improve efficiency and patient access to healthcare. A telehealth call or inquiry is more than just a phone call, however, and the nurses who respond to these calls are participating in the healthcare continuum.

The benefit of Telehealth by Family Caregivers

For caregivers who commit time and money to care for an aging loved one, telehealth can be a valuable lifeline. From a merely practical standpoint, it helps ease the burden of traveling to engage with health providers. Family caregivers with have full-time jobs can avoid taking excessive time off work to meet with you by using telehealth. Moreover, these services empower family members by giving them more opportunities to ask questions and take a proactive role in their loved ones’ care and recovery.

Long Distance Clients Really Benefit From Telehealth

Family Caregivers who live a long distance from their family members can often really benefit from telehealth as they can meet with the care manager from even thousands of miles away, get coaching on caregiving, ask questions about the care of their loved one, and report symptoms or status.

Emergency Go Binder -Family Caregivers Need One in Pandemic

August 13, 2020

   In An Emergency, I  Panicked

I live in Santa Cruz County, Ca. , where the disaster of COVID stalks us but we had a double disaster with one of the 30 fires begun by lightning strikes all over California. Our fire set the Santa Cruz mountains, with ancient 3000-year-old redwoods, ablaze, and caused 70,000 evacuations ,as the firefighters did not have enough fire personnel to fight the fire. There were so many fires statewide that all firefighters in the state were not enough to fight the blazes. In addition to the horror, the fast-spreading fire, our three assigned planes to drop water on the inferno, could not fly as smoke and fog prevented it. They went to other California fires.

I Had No Grab and GO, Binder

When all this was announced by emergency alerts we were told to prepare to evacuate too. In spite of just teaching how to put together a go binder for COVID- I had no go binder myself. I had no list of what I would take in an emergency from a 5 bedroom house with multiple family heirlooms, original art by children, grandchildren, and now famous friends, I had never scanned the multiple  photographs of our family in frames to GOOGLE PHOTOS  all over the house and those critical important documents like our trust, birth certificates, passports, insurance info in filing to add a go binder. I  never made a GO Binder. I am doing it now when the fire is 30% contained.

Prepare for Double Disasters Now

In emergency situations, people sometimes do not think rationally like me. We never know how we are going to react in an emergency until it actually happens. In order to prepare for any situation, hurricanes & COVID, Fires &COVID- creating a grab-and-go binder should be an important part of your shelter in place plan for aging friends or relatives.

With COVID,the older person who is sheltering in place, as safe as the family and elder have been, can still contract COVID and be rushed to the hospital in an emergency. But on top of COVID other emergencies like storms wildfires, floods happen on the top of the pandemic. Think of this summer where hurricanes have already spun up the east coast, making it a double cataclysm of elders’ and family caregivers’ lives.

What to put in Go- Binder

You want and binder with all the emergency contacts, documents like advanced directives, DNR power of attorney and family contacts, You the family cannot physically go into the hospital or evacuate but this Go binder can take your place. With important information about your family member when they are admitted without you by their side. Your go- binder should contain your family members’ most important information and documents. This will include.

  • Medical information
  • Emergency Contact List
  • Advanced Directives
  • Critical medical, insurance, social security, Trust/will docs
